Conecuh County Economic Development officially received the ACT Workforce Certification during the 2019 ACT Workforce Summit. The Summit took place October 28-30 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

It is attended by Educators, Workforce and Economic Developers, Work Ready Community Leaders, Employers, Human Resource Professionals, and Industry Partners. The certification is based on assessments and training that assists employers in identifying candidates who possess core competencies of career readiness, such as critical thinking and problem solving, as well as teamwork and collaboration.

“ACT’s workforce certification enables Conecuh County employers to confidently identify, select and hire qualified candidates, especially among first-time job seekers,” said President/CEO of Coneuch County Economic Development Jeff Taylor. “

“This award would not be possible without the participation and partnerships of many of our existing industries, Conecuh County Board of Education and Reid State. I appreciate their support.” Said Taylor.
